Hi. I'm a first year student (Computer Science Co-op) and I'm still deciding which courses to take for the 4 elective courses.
Since it is my first year, I don't know how hard university level is. I really don't know what to do. HELP!

Question:
1. English is my second language so I'm so worried about the writing requirement. (I got 72 for Grade.12 English from High school.) However, I picked Cities and Environments(GGRA03H3S). Is it a good choice? Is there much easier one that I should take from below?
ANTA01H3, ANTA02H3, (CLAA02H3), (CTLA19H3), CTLA01H3, ENGA10H3, ENGA11H3, ENGB06H3, ENGB07H3, ENGB08H3, ENGB09H3, ENGB17H3, ENGB19H3, ENGB50H3, ENGB51H3, GGRA02H3, GGRA03H3, GGRB05H3, (GGRB06H3), (HISA01H3), HLTA01H3, HUMA01H3, (HUMA11H3), (HUMA17H3), (LGGA99H3), LINA01H3, PHLA10H3, PHLA11H3, WSTA01H3.

2. For the other remaining 3 courses, I chose Studio courses: Foundation Studies in Studio(VPSA62H3F), Why Is It Art(VPSA63H3F), Drawing I (VPSA70H3S).
I'm looking for really really easy courses. Did I pick the right courses? Are Studio courses fun?

There should be a courses that most people in class generally though it was easy. I need to know those courses. HELP :(

I took ANTA01, I regret it. They made us buy this game made by some Psychology prof. All we needed were 5 PDF's on the CD.. It came with a CD key so we couldn't just buy one copy and share it. We also had to write the key on our cover page.

LINA01 was interesting. I wish I had continued taking more Linguistics courses.

what LINA01 mostly focuses on? Writing? What is the difficulty?

Anyone has more suggestions?

I took that back in my first year which was a very long time ago, so I don't really remember it that well. From what I do remember you have to memorize the International Phonetic Alphabet at the very least. There is also some syntax questions.

Nah not writing. Focuses on phonetics, how to pronounce words, setence structure, word structure etc. No essays etc. It's an easy course if you study and put the effort into learning all the rules and practice.

I took GGRA03H3 in my first year and really enjoyed it. The course content is very interesting but it is a course based heavily on writing. If I remember correctly I had to write three essays for that class as well as a few small tutorial assignments, plus the final, which consists of completely short answer questions. I also really liked prof. Sorensen, who teaches the course. I would definitely recommend the course to others because it was interesting but I wouldn't necessarily call it "easy." If you are really concerned about your essay writing abilities there are resources on campus that can help you, such as the writing centre.
I also took ENGA10H3 AND ENGA11H3 in my first year and really enjoyed both courses. There was no essay writing at all, just a midterm and a final, but both involve a lot of writing. Plus, because english is a very subjective subject, it is very hard to fail both of these courses, but its also difficult to get above an 80. When I took these courses prof. Leonard taught them, however he is on leave this year so because it's a different prof. this year the course may be slightly different. Although, if I'm not mistaken, prof. Flynn, who will be teaching both courses this year, just so happens to be prof. Leonard's wife, so the course may not change much.

I suggest you to double check the course calendar for Drawing I (VPSA70H3S) as they added pre-reqs for it this year (IIRC).

Edit: Prerequisite: VPSA62H3 and VPSA63H3

Out of all those, I would recommend GGRA03 or HUMA01. Both amazing profs. As for your writing skills, you can always visit the writing centre for help.

One of the biggest mistakes I've made is taking courses other people thought where interesting or easy. Those have been some of my biggest blunders. Take courses that you think are interesting. On the flip side, if you aren't interested in any courses, follow the herd.

So what could be the easiest courses at this point? GGRA03H3 now sounds alot of writing.

Any experience on Studio courses? I'm on the waitlist for the Studio course so I need a backup plan. What could be the other courses?

Did you take intro business or IB in high school? If you did, MGTA03 will be a refresher course for you.
Otherwise, with some studying/memorization, you should also do fine.

Your list of courses are all writing courses but A-level courses are nothing to stress about. GGRA03 will consist of 1 essay assignment, and tutorial participation. That's not so bad.

Vouch for GGRA03

Easy bird course

How easy is it? Need more details T_T. People saying it is still a lot of writing. Would you still vouch GGRA03 as the easiest course for the first year?
