It has 1700/2100 band!! Yay for another high end phone that works with Wind!

So will it actually work with Wind? Rogers has it for 499...

The AT&T version also has the 1700/2100 band

4G Network LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100

not only possible but it works as long as you unlock it
from xda forums
If you want more confirmation, I attached a screenshot of the configuration info screen from my LT28i.

UMTS 1: 2100
UMTS 2: 1900
UMTS 4: 1700/2100 AWS
UMTS 5: 850

LTE 4: 1700/2100 AWS
LTE 17: 700 (AT&T)

Do note, the AT&T version with LTE 1700/2100 WILL NOT work with Wind. LTE 1700 radios will not pick up Wind's frequencies, it MUST have HSPA 1700/2100, NOT LTE

Which seems to be the same version that Rogers is selling (ie. LT28at = LT28i).

Guys i'm a noob when it comes to phones and configuring their radios. Can you please tell me if i buy an unlocked Sony Xperia Ion, would it work with Wind Mobile straight away or would i need to root it first?

Depending on the frequencies it will work. LTE 1700/2100 will not work on WIND, so AT&T,Rogers WILL NOT work with wind.
