Madrid airport to train station

Going to be flying to Madrid, and want to catch a train to Lisboa, Portugal (overnight). As an English-speaker, what's the easiest way of doing this?

Catching the train right away? From the airport to the train? Taxi is the best and fastest way.

You should stay in Madrid for a few days. it is really a wonderful city. The tapas bars are the best and one of the best is called El Tigre, fabulous food, great beer and so so wine. The atmosphere is pure tapas bar. The other tapas bars are all clustered around Puerta del Sol. Great fun.
