Alright so I'm saving about $200 (around there) on top of my regular budget and savings and next year I plan to get some really good tires and some nice looking wheels.

I have a 2010 civic and a lot of people say 17" rims don't look right on most cars without lowering the vehicle a bit. Is this true?

I also want that look where it's a small sidewall and mostly wheel if anyone knows what I mean. Is this basically what a low profile is?

Looking to spend around $1600 if that seems like a fair deal... Where is the best place within Canada to buy them as a set? I was looking at kxwheels.com. Anyone have experience with them?

Well, since its a Civic, there are tons of owner pictures out there with different rims, body kits, etc. so I suppose find one with 17" or 18" and see if you like it.

Yes.

Have you looked at getting OEM rims? Like the Si rims?

Edit: I've never been a fan of the current/last gen Civics, but I did like the last gen Si rims.

Not sure if these are the right ones:

I would check out a few tire shops in the area and see what they can do for you rim/tire wise. Plus warranty issues will be less of a headache.

2010 civic? Hmm I do like the mugen ones from Honda. However you might have to venture to the usa for those.

Why not get the ones you have now polished or even the Si ones polished?

Please don't get a knock off piece of garbage.

If you need help finding nice rims pm me.

You can start referencing @ tirerack to see what type of wheels you like and within your budget and go from there.

To buy in Canada, in particular in the GTA, Simply Tires, Tires23 are your typical mentioned vendors in the forum as they have fair & reasonable pricing for wheels & tires.

Oem SI rims I actually do like a lot. A guy at work has an SI and painted his black, makes them look really good. I also saw the new SI rims on the 2012s they look nice as well.

Btw I hate the look of current and 8th gen civic's in a sedan model but really like the 8th gen civic coupe which is why I bought one

I'd go with these:

17's look good on stock height civic's as the wheel gap is already relatively small.
