What kind of tiles would you suggest for a fireplace hearth?

We stripped off some old gray tiles from our hearth, and want to replace with a creamish tile.

Right now the hearth is bare wood.

What kind of tile do you recommend for a wood burning fireplace?

Any good quality porcelain tile would do, and they can come in a variety of colours...including a `creamish`tile.
