I'm looking to buy my first car on my own. (I've bought a CRV prior, but with the help of my dad's knowledge and money). I'm 26 male, will be using it to commute but not a far commute. I'm looking for a used car that isn't too expensive, great on gas, and looks good and is reliable. I've read reviews but was hoping for some pros, cons, experiences etc. I was considering a 2010 Altima coupe, 2011 Cruze, 2010 Mazda3, and 2010 Civic but am open to new suggestions. Thanks

Clearly you checked a long time ago

Last time I checked, VW isn't that reliable....

OP if you want a good reliable car thats great on fuel try to find a use VW TDI. it could be a VW Golf or Jetta but make sure its a TDI (Diesel) those engines last forever. Something 2003-2004 & above is what you want.

If you want to save on insurance, don't get a coupe.

What an answer, when a Jetta is none of the three!

The problem is 115k is still considered low mileage. I have a few vehicles over +300,000kms.

And just because one person (not saying you) has no issue, that doesn't represent the average VW vehicles out there.
And perhaps, there are issues but the owner(s) are not aware of them.

If you are talking about a TDI version then yes they are They are reliable and great on fuel. If you are buying new then the TDI version it wont be cheap however if you can find a deal on a used one go for it.
