First you need to make sure that your motherboard supports SLI.

You might regret the idea of SLI.
I did it long time ago with Nvidia 6800s and didn't do it again. You might miss out on new features, higher power usage, PSU might not be able to handle the load, motherboard might cripple SLI performance, heat (might or might not be issue) etc.
Also if you're buying 2 of those now, not very smart price wise... You might want to SLI a older card like a GTX 460 and buy the 2nd card at a cheaper price and use that until you can't handle the lag...

Yeah I currently have a gtx560 TI, and I want to run three monitors. Just not sure if it's worth it to get another for 150. Because it's a big step up to buy anything that outperforms it I think.

The GTX560 ti should support 3 monitors natively. Use adapters

I assume he's looking for performance on those 3 monitors though (not just desktop).

Ahh like Eye Finity / Nvidia surround
If so, OP needs 3 exact monitors (technically no but gaming with different resolution / monitors would be messed up)

Is there a better video card that can run three in surround that wont break the bank?
I dont think three work even with adapters for desktop

Not sure what 'breaking the bank' is to you, but the 600 series from Nvidia will do it. You can probably find a 670 for just under $400.
I have the 680 and run 3 screens and love it (can run 4 of the single card).

Thanks, I might just grab one more 560 TI and wait for the NEXT generation.
