I want to get a USB OTG cable for my nexus 7, but I don't want to wait 2 weeks+ to have it shipped. I found this one http://www.infinitecables.com/pop-usa/ad-usb-12.htm . It has all the right connections, but dosn't mention Usb OTG. So I was wondering if anyone knew if it would work? Is there something special about an OTG adapter that different than a standard USB adapter?

Thanks,
David

OTG is not a simple adapter. It's wired slightly differently.

As far as i understand, no there is nothing different but the main thing is that does the Nexus 7 support OTG? I doubt it will without a custom kernel (although i may be wrong here), so if you havn't already searched on it.. i would suggest you to do it first as only few devices support USB OTG in their stock form.

This might help XDA (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1799350) It seems it does support OTG but you'll have to root it.

Yes the nexus 7 supports OTG. I know that already. I did some more research and it looks like pins 4 and 5 need to be tied together for OTG to work.... so I could hack it, but it would be ugly so I guess I'll need to keep looking.
