Would be great if it were true, although tips aren't reality until they actually become announced.

Non-expiring data packs would be a total game-changer. But would you be forced to be on a base plan to use the rest?

Nonetheless I could see this working for a frequent texter who makes a few calls here and there and might use a bit of data. One year at $15/month plus, say, a total of 2 GB data ($70) and a total of 500 minutes ($35) would add up to $285, or $23.75/month.

I don't see the appeal

I think it is cheaper to just a plan on contract.

So the booster minutes does not expire after 30 days? That is actually quite a good deal consider if you buy 500 units, you get basically 5 cents/canada wide minutes, which is awesome compare to 25 cents/m on most prepaid. So is data, if they don't expire, low data user would be able to use 1g data for maybe a year.

How about for people who don't text, so $105/12=less than $10 per month.

Update: didn't notice that you have to choose a base plan? That is kind of against the idea of prepaid, basically you have to pay at least $15 per month if not using it, not that good a deal then.

IF they change base to $10, it would be an awesome plan, but $15 base without any minutes seem to be too high.

Rogers has the best prepaid. And intl roaming prepaid

Wind's prepaid is not bad either 20cent Canada wide, free incoming in Wind zones. US roaming is 20 cents, 10cents with $5.00 monthly add on along with 50 cents per MB data in US. 20 cent European roaming with a currently free monthly add on.

Rogers charges $2.00 pm for US roaming and $3.00+ international roaming on prepaid.

PS Hope the above Koodo prepaid is true, the more competition the better
