this by no mean a racist or targeted toward any ethnic community.

but merely based on past event. I'm not going because I don't want to get shot.

Cool event > self preservation

So, based on your equation, you'll be participating? Cool event is greater than self preservation?

Just to watch people in skimpy clothing?

I can do that from home. This whole charade is nothing but commercial business. Well, they all are (all occasions).

Are taxpayers footing the bill for this crap? I remember a lot of garbage leftover after and the city had to clean it up last time.

God forbid we displease the carribeanish folks.

I hope the Jews and the Muslims and the Hindus start asking the city to fund their charades too. For equality and spreading the funding

It is a damn shame that this is the ONLY time of the year, that I need to escort my wife home from work after her evening shift, because of these ne'er-do-wells that ruin the neighbourhoods and make them unsafe where this festival happens.

Was there an actual incident? My guess is it was probably consensual and she didn't want to admit it.

Would be more tolerant of this because Asians in general have a far better track record of being well behaved and respectful of the neighbours. Of course there are bad seeds in any culture, but the record in this case, speaks for itself.

I don't think so. Just actual observation. I am not a racist, just a realist that lives in the neighbourhood surrounding the Caribana, and just calling it like it is, according to hard facts and evidence realized by me personally.

No you're a certain ethnicity who clearly hates the people who run this event.

you can prove this how?? Insult his neighborhood, heck, insult him

but insult a ethnic group because someone doesn't like his neighbourhood be a part of the parade?? Give me a break.

It's RFD where people can say the most racist crap that they would never even utter within a 5m vicinity of a black person.

Ignore the racist cowards here. They are boring, lame and predictable.

Caribana was a success and the people who went had a fab time instead of spewing lame hate on msg boards all Saturday.

That is one hell of an assumption. You don't know me. I hate no one. I strongly dislike trouble makers of ANY race. It would be one thing if EVERY festival was as prone to bad actions as this one, but it is clearly not the case. It also would be one thing if I made a blanket, ignorant assumption, if I did not live anywhere near this thing. I live right bloody there. I see with my own 2 eyes, the arrests, the crime, and the disturbances. It is ONLY when this "festival" comes through. It is ONLY when this "festival" comes through, that I have to take extra precautions for the safety of my wife due to actual past experiences. It is ONLY when this "festival" comes through, that I see 1,500 cops in my neighbourhood that normally would not be there. I do not have to deal with all this when the EX is in full swing even though there are literally thousands of more people filtering through, of all sorts of ethnicities. I do not have to deal with this when the labour day parade comes through. So make your own asinine assumptions.
