Hello everybody.

I am posting this because I think I may have been scammed and I want to get other peoples opinions.

I posted a ad on kijiji for someone to take over my contract, they didn't ask anything in return.

I spoke to her on the phone, we discussed about the plan and what it comes with etc.

She then said that its fine and for her and that she would like to take over.

she said she was working and that she will call me later in the evening.

she then later called and we spoke a bit and i confirmed that she is willing to take over she then agreed.

i called rogers and spoke to them and said that i have someone that wants to take over my contract and i give autorization just to take over the contract. i then call the person back and gave her the okay.oncve i did that i never heard from her again. i am confused on how bad this can be. what can she do if i just gave rogers her name Mary Timmons *** how much access does that give her. etc

please help

sorry fi this isn't the right place to post

If you told Rogers CSR to give authorization ONLY to takeover the contract then It should be fine and that person either did or did not take over the contract, No?

Just call Rogers when you can and confirm things If possible.

Why would someone take over a contract for nothing?

If they actually did take over the contract, it is now their problem to fulfill the contract.

Why would someone take over a contract for nothing?

Maybe it is a really good plan?

Call Rogers to confirm if contract is no longer yours.

When you gave the authorization, did you give all the information about this person? Address, phone number, etc.
Did Rogers notify you that you will be receiving a notice in the mail about the account or any confirmation?

Also, double check your bills for that account to see if they are still billing you or not.
