Have a ipad original and got a ipad3. I wonder how does one share data between the two using icloud, specifically, I have some books on ipad1 and want to see them on ipad3. Tried enabling icloud and data sharing on both ipads but still can't see any see under ibooks on the new ipad. Anyone can share the steps to do that? thanks

Have you enabled "Automatic Downloading"?
Check out this how-to: http://www.icloud-transfer.com/how-to/transfer-books-from-ipad-to-icloud.html
Step 1. Open iPad
Press the home button for a few seconds to open your iPad.
Step 2. Enable "automatic downloading" on your iPad. Go to Settings > Store, and then select the type of content that you want automatically downloaded.
Step 3. Connect iPhone to Wi-Fi
Tap Settings from the iPad's Homescreen and press Network in the Settings screen. Then tap the WiFi button and slide the slider to "on". To connect to a public network, just tap the network name and you will complete connecting iPhone to Wi-Fi.
Step 4. Enter ID and Password
Enter your Apple ID and password to log in the iCloud.
Step 5. Sync books fom iPad to iCloud
In iPad, go to Settings. And select iCloud item. In the Storage&Backup window that appears, turn on the 'Back Up to iCloud' iCon. Then click "Backup Up Now" to transfer books from iPad to iCloud.

thanks, I think I did the steps. For two ipads, I have different names in icloud, but there is only one apple ID involved. Wonder if I should name the two ipads the same and then restore from ipad1 ?
