Many audio and home theatre enthusiasts love the sound and look of the Energy RC, Energy Veritas, and Mirage speakers, me included.
For many years, the only source for decently-priced Energy products was Vanns in the U.S.A. Futureshop seems to only sell at fill list price!
Unfortunately, Vanns will be filing for bankruptcy protection as indicated here: http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/show/Vanns/Bankruptcy/Industry_Trends/Vanns_Will_File_for_Bankruptcy/9945
I'll definitely pick up some Energy speakers before they're gone for good:(
This could finally be the end of Energy as a bargain-priced, high-quality brand.

I bought a set of Mirage from them last time I vacationed.
That's too bad!
What was the reason?
Is the US going to do away with no tax off Montana ??

Does this mean that there will be no warranty?

I think it's because of the economy in general. Best Buy and Frys are not doing that well.
I purchased a pair of Mirage OMD5 speakers about a year ago to use as surrounds. I sold them and got exactly what I paid so I'll probably get a pair of the Energy VS surrounds. They are selling for $599 each on Futureshop's website :(

I think there'll still be a warranty since the warranty is provided by Energy's owner, not Vanns.

Re : Energy speakers
Might as well get them while you're at it...quality is not going to get better IMHO:)
I don't have much good things to say about products under the Klipsch umbrella...quality has generally declined since the buyouts. There is less uniqueness from rebadging.
A note on warranty...you buy from US, why worry about warranty ? It's going to be a huge PITA if you need anything done down the road...unless it's DOA.

I don't really need anything other than surrounds. The RC70 and RC-LCR were a good price but they're currently out of stock. The RC-10s @ $220/pair is excellent.
