Given the society we live in, I am not surprised people commit suicide.

people like that should either jump and get it over with... or pay for the disruption they caused.
like an over-dramatic baby throwing a tantrum

He's probably better off dead instead of his fate of being shuffled through the excuses of jails, psych wards, and "doctors" that exist in this country.

If I came across this I would do everything I could to sneak past the police and get close enough to talk to the jumper. I'm fairly certain I can convince anybody who's even thinking about killing themselves that they should live.

I wish I could do that, while suicide is not the answer these people have nowhere to go for help.

The gentleman in question certainly was shuffled through the excuses of jobs, careers, schools, and debts before he took the decisive step.

The guy was rather dumb
that is not high enough to guarantee to do the job properly
chances are he might survive and live life in a rather broken state

Either we're getting trolled by OP or that man. If he was really about that life he would've been more serious with it. Like cmon? pills? 4 story + jump at least?
I'm sorry to say that dude is an attention wh0r3. If I was there I would of let him jump. They're going to close a street down cuz of this? He'd be lucky to even break his legs from that height.

Wow man!! Nice pics. Good image quality for a dashcam. It's nice.
I encounter some of those basta*rds on the lions gate bridge here in Vancouver every once in a while. I just cannot get my mind around planning to do it on the narrowest of vancouvers bridges at rush hour. Like.. why not do it elsewhere.. :s just seems weird to me that'd they would want anger motorists yelling "get it over with and jump" at the guy for holding up everyone in gridlock

OP, what dashcam is that?
The first thought that came to my head was, "wow that is a really good quality dash cam."
I used to inline skate across that area every school day back in high school and it seems like the kind of area where there are a lot of people with mental illness hang out so the suicide attempt doesn't surprise me. It's getting a bit better now with the new businesses coming in.

If I was close to a ledge, and had you telling me about your accomplishments, I'd be tempted to jump.

sounds likea more challenging talk down, but I could definitely do it.

Obviously the key to talking with somebody in a state like this would be to ask them questions about themselves and help them come up with resolutions for their own problems. I wouldnt be talking about my awesome backflipping skills. You would be so overwhelmed by my awesomeness you might jump from jelousy

Lol, my first thought was also about the dashcam.
Many people that attempt suicide can be fixed. Mind as well make an attempt to save a person's life.

Which means he had no intention of killing himself. He just wanted people to hear his story.
If he really wanted to kill himself, he would've just hung himself in his home.

We should feed suicidal people what they want and let people get their story out. As time progresses they'll usually take the least extremes to commit suicide = easier to rescue.
Feed the situation and its less dramatic.

Wow harsh society we live in with a couple of these posts. Everything is about money I guess.
It is a harsh society. Everyone only cares about themselves.
Like me at work yesterday. Security guy asks why I'm in so early (12hr shift) and says I must need the $...
I looked at him and said rudely "excuse me? I don't really need the $, I just want more of it and am trying to advance MY career, something that you didn't do from the looks of it."
Why did I say something harsh like that? Cause he shouldnt have even said anything like that to me in the first place.

still can't see the license plate of the car in front of him, isn't that the point of a dash cam?
