I first noticed this problem a few weeks ago:
It occurs when I try to load/stream a video on apple TV, or laptop and when I download documents/programs.
For the video it will buffer a small amount and then stop.
For programs they will start to download very slowly.
This all changes if I start surfing the internet. The download starts firing up speed same with the video. Stop surfing and it again goes slow.
Some background on what I'm working with:
Router = Asus RT-N56U running custom firmware 1.1.2.2-006. I use the 5ghz.
Internet = Broad Band 50 through Shaw with a avg actual speed of 42mbps down and 2.3mbps up.
Any ideas? This occurs on two different laptops and an iPad..
