The curiosity is landing! Will you be watching this landing? It's the most difficult landing ever attempted on Mars and it's happening at 1:30am tonight, but be sure to tune in a bit before that!

You can watch it in SD at:

http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html

or HD at:

http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/ustream.html

This is an animation of how the landing will happen:

Landing is going to start in about 40 minutes. At 2.5 billion dollars, hopefully this thing does crash and spread its nuclear fuel over mars.

Interesting video on how this beast will land:

You have to realize the distance the data is traveling

64x64 first
then 256x256

and so on.

Jealousy is an emotion and typically refers to the negative thoughts and feelings of insecurity, fear, and anxiety over an anticipated loss of something that the person values, particularly in reference to a human connection. Jealousy often consists of a combination of presenting emotions such as anger, resentment, inadequacy, helplessness and disgust. It is not to be confused with envy.

What a great achievement! Imagine all those years of work coming down to 7 minutes of terror..
I was giving it a 50/50 chance of success..

But then you'll have those people that will says it's been faked...

Congrats to NASA! It was such awesome moment! I was watching the simulation, it was pretty cool and tense at the same time! It was nice to see everyone filled with emotion after the landing. It's definitely a great achievement for the human race!

Imgur doesn't like people embedding pictures because then they're just a image file server and that means no ad revenue.
