Just wondering if any members actually used this warranty to have tint removed and reinstalled on their vehicles?
Does it only cover the material? cover the labour? or cover both? does it cover removal? any deductible?
or you wanted to use the warranty but the business is no longer in existence?
how many years you had the tint for?

to me these warranties are full or crap and just marketing ploys to get your business.

lets discuss

Most warranties are and the tint should last you more than a few years so by then you may have sold your car or don't care if the tint is scratched or not.

The warranties are only as good as the quality of the tint film that was installed.

No use in having a lifetime warranty if the tint is garbage and turns purple in 3 months time.

+1

I had my tint on my old Accord for 5 years and looked the same as the first day I got it. No extra bubbles or anything that would make me use the warranty.

when i got my windows tinted by a small local shop i was told theres no such thing as a lifetime warranty on tint
sure the tint is under warranty but you will still pay the labour to fix the tint
and if that shop goes under or moves or whatever then there is no warranty anyways!

look at this warranty:

A lifetime tint warranty means that your film will
not ever crack, peel, bubble or have adhesive
breakdown. This is the guarantee that the product
(film) is good and it has been properly installed by a
qualified installer. It does not mean that the film will
not change colors. To ensure the color of the film will
not change after the application to your vehicle you
need a lifetime film color warranty in addition to the
lifetime film warranty. Check it out when purchasing
tint for your car!

and this company:

We do warranty work all the time for other shops. We are proud to say that our warranty claim percentage with our manufacturers are less than 1/10th of 1%.

so if your warranty claims are less than 1/10th of 1% what is so special about offering it?

as the guy who did my windows said "if lexus doesn't offer a lifetime warranty on a 80 thousand dollar car why would a company offer it on $200 tint?"

have anyone noticed the amount of older vehicles that have purple tint and or bubbles galore on the road? For sure they did not have their cars tinted.

This guy at his tint shop of his mentioned he offered lifetime warranty. I then asked him if I even came back 10+ years later. He said yes. Hah fat chance he's going to remember me or still do what he's doing. Funny thing is when I came in....he kinda thought I was a previous customer and kinda gave me the opportunity to take advantage of him.

Interesting generalization. 6 years after tinting I still have my car, and still care if the tint has problems.

so who has kept their cars long enough to see if those shops actually honor the lifetime warranty?

I always ask friends who have tiny like the first pic, how they managed to tint over all those bubbles.

i don't think these bubbles are present when the car was tinted but instead over time the adhesive just gave out.

I know that, I'm just having fun at their expense.

It all depends on the quality of the tint film. Many people go to like cheap ***** places that charge a hundred bucks. So obviously you're gonna have issues after just a few years, whether it's peeling or discoloration.

I would research the kind of tint the shop uses and go from there. The premium films will often outlast the car without any signs of wear but those cost 2.5x-3 times more than your typical cheapo tint places.

They are pretty worthless if you get it from Tint King on Queensway! I went back three times they re did the tints and the problems are still there in the same spot! The head office doesn't even answer the phone it goes straight to voicemail which they do not answer. Point of the story, do a search on here for a good tint place and their warranty will mean something.
