Hey All

I've had a panasonic Viera TC-P46G10 for just under a year and i got a line of semi-burnt out pixels. Depending on the colour of the screen they can appear burnt or sometimes just blend into the screen colour. Panasonic techs have come and determined it to be a manufacturers problem. So the TV was purchased at Leon's, and they are offering a $500 credit towards any TV after Panasonic talked to them about replacing it. Leon's is quoting "prorating" of this TV. I did not purchase this TV for us so i don't have the exact cost of the unit but likely $1300ish about a year ago. It was purchased for me.

My question is panasonic states on their website "Panasonic Canada Inc. warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and for a period as stated below from the date of original purchase agrees to, at its option either (a) repair your product with new or refurbished parts, (b) replace it with a new or a refurbished equivalent value product, or (c) refund your purchase price. The decision to repair, replace or refund will be made by Panasonic Canada Inc. "

Do you think that Leon's is trying to rip me off? or is it that this is just how it works?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
