Just a thought: If you're stuck & there's no data term ( I don't see a data add-on so I'm guessing no ), just renew the term. That'll put you on the new ECF Policy. Then you can cancel. I believe the max is $12.50 or maybe + $35 or some crap fee. If they bill you for the last month of airtime, just file with the CCTS (Google it thru hofo, or just thru google) and they'll ensure you get it reversed.

Can anyone please enlighten me as to what bubble.tea has stated in his reply? I don't get how cancellation fee for a renewed contract to be only like $50 in total.

no catch.

Just as I said.

call rogers. "I want to renew my contract". They may say why, think of a good reason., research. People have been sneaking out for months due to this policy. Worst case, you can have them put you on a different plan that *requires/cough* a new term. Voila. Done. Next month, cancel!

Technically, you can renew your contract ANY time DURING your contract-there are no restriction on term renewals.

ecf rules pertain to policy.

old term, falls under old policy., $20/month <$400 max., or $200 max if you started/renewed the term (keeping the same PLAN) pre Apr2007'ish.

NEW TERM (renewed old plan, or new activation) as of Feb/Mar of this year puts you under new policy. ECF owed = $12.50 + any economic inducement. Since you have no hardware/hup, that is +$0. So $12.50+tax+last months airtime.
