what are some things/customs/ideas in the past that were considered digusting/nasty/weird/frowned upon etc... back then, but are ok and considered normal today?

lol i know my buddy mike vong and he doesn't wash his hands after he goes to the washroom. Even after he shats.
His parents run a resatuarnt on dundas west and he helps out occasional. Let's say I always decline his invitation when I want eat. lol

It looks more like a student seeking help with a paper than an actual troll to me.
If you're of European descent, a few hundred years ago, bathing and basic personal hygiene were considered not only gross, but unhealthy and dangerous. (Of course, if you're asian, you can be comforted by the fact that your ancestors figured this one out WAY before us....like most things.)
