They're not suing him.
They'r saying if he doesn't remove the flyers from his website, then they'll have to sue him.
Seems kind of blown way out of proportion to me.

We should sue them for having such a crappy flyer with crappy sales. This whole situation is http://forums.offtopic.com/images/smilies/riaa.gif

lets do the math.
wait in line at 2am and waste some six hours in the cold.
get a part time job a rotten ronalds at a more REASONABLE time.
work like a lazy dog cause you do not care if you get fired later that day.
six hours after tax pay gives you a good chunk of the money you save on the tv.
what is the point?

Why would it be locked? There are no flyers on that website or linked to from that website.

I would never wait outside for any sale. IMO you can get boxing day deals anytime of the year if you are a smart shopper. I'll be watching everybody freezing in line on the news while I am nice and warm sippin' on a cocktail relaxing.

Do lawyers always indent their paragraphs two inches? Must be a paragraph envy issue.
It looks even more idiotic to persecute an American for publishing *anything* short of a hate crime. Good luck with that.

I agree. There's no logic in waiting so many hours. It makes less sense the more $$ you make hourly wise.

I wouldn't wait that (six hours) long in the cold, but I would wait an hour in line for Boxing Day sales... Although, I could justify waiting for six hours in line. I usually save at least $100 at Future Shop on Boxing Day, so $100/6 hours is $16.66/hour. I doubt I will make $16.66/hour after taxes at McDonald's...

Why wait in the cold if you can park your car in the line and wait in the car. This is only if you're first in line. I did this years ago...

It's even worse, considering that:
- it's probably a crap TV
- TVs often go on sale throughout the year, so the whole savings amount is not exclusive to the Boxing Day sale (although it might be a little better than what you'd get throughout the rest of the year)

personally i think boxing day 'sales' is the greatest lie in our market. prime offenders are places like BB/FS. yes they may have that 1 super-hot deal to get people to line up at 2am, but it's limited to maybe 10-25 per store. good luck with that. all the rest of the 'deals' are crappy, year-end clearance items that you could probably find in the coming year at nearly the same price if not a better model (flash mp3 players, dvd writers, blank media come to mind). so no i wont buy into the hype and i will avoid these places unless they can show a real sale, with real items that most people want, and in quantities to satisify most people.

I agree, boxing day sales at Bestbuy/Futureshop and many others are for suckers. The really good ligit deals on Boxing day are so rare and even if Bestbuy happens to have one, there are 1000 dopes lining up at the door at 6am in -20 degree weather to get them.

Well I parked my car at the front where the line started. A couple other cars did the same once they saw me do it that were directly behind me. About 2 hours before FS opened we parked our cars and stood in line. This was like 6 years ago.

Best way to find boxing day deals with out the wait, go in 2hrs later, and check out the carts behind the cashiers, Ive always found a few of the sales items there.
Some plp always change there mind, or grab too many when its 1/person etc.

I am growing tired of the hyped sales at any store these days.
Boxing day will be no exception.
I am not going to rush to the store to buy an item just because it is on sale.
This consumerism hysteria is behond me...

agreed.
althoug even at FS you can get some decent deals on HDDs on boxing day, with MIR rebate of course.
Funny thing is, every year I manage to convice a rep that the WD MIR is for any retailer, and get them to then pricematch and still give me the MIR. good times ;)

By BB's logic they saved thousands because people didn't hold off from buying things that might be on sale for boxing day.
Anyway, it's pretty likely that the flyers have been released publicly now. We are looking into it.

And their logic might be right to an extent. I noticed an item in today's local newspaper in the 2 page spread that is advertised at double the price of what it will be on boxing day.

they don't want their flyer posted so early because competitors are going to see them and lower their prices. But I guess you can just price match but BB and FS don't want to price match cuz then they lose out.

Not just loss leaders.
Alot of the deals on boxing day are the stuff they just can't get rid of.
Like people will go crazy over a dvd player selling for $20. Course it ends up beinga pretty crappy player that they couldn't sell and they got a bunch left over. So they give that away as it's taking up space anyways, and then get them on some other item.
That being said you can get some good prices on stuff on boxing day. Just nothing ground shaking, and nothing that would get me into a retail store to fight through the masses for.

AFAIK, a well-formed parapraph must have an indentation unless the gap between the previous paragraph and the current one is made up of two or more blank lines.
