Selling a classic Quicksilver Dual 800MHZ G4 with 1.5gb of Ram, 80gb drive + 100gb drive and Super Drive burner.

Also comes with a nice Apple 17" Studio Display LCD and an iSub and Pro Speakers.

Original keyboard and mouse is included as well as all original packaging.

Currently has OSX Panther on there, original OSX discs are included which have the first OSX 10.0.4 on them.

I booted it up for the first time in three years today and it in full working capacity except the power supply is running a bit loud.

This is a collectors item in great condition! Cost $6500 nearly 7 years ago... here on RFD for $500.00 obo picked up in Oshawa or can meet around Fairview Mall area on certain days.

it would have to be the cache for 1 meg, then you would know for sure its a hammer

Yes the stepping does list the core as a clawhammer, the same steppings as fX chips. Half cache was disabled and multi locked as word is they did not make FX grade but nevertheless overclock well.. if you load up Everest it shows as Clawhammer... several users including myself have been testing and researching these chips at Xtremesystems:

Also for all interested buyers please read the for sale thread carefully if you are serious in buying an item. The details for each item is clearly listed and for good reason (eg I don't need the buyer coming back to me saying how come the FX-55 has no box and stuff ;) )

Can't believe the Exos is still available. If I didn't get my Exos Al off of kawaii a while a go I would have definitely taken this. My Al performs great, and I hear the Exos 2 performs even better. With the larger tubing you can use pretty much any goo aftermarket block you want to.

:) the reason why they were spoken for wasn't even cause people pestered me before hand. It was actually my fault, it takes time to write up these lists of things for sale so I started drafting up the list in this thread.

The thread was old and hadn't been bumped for a week so I thought no one would see it. My mistake, as it looks like someone did a search and one of the items I had posted pulled this thread up and it was bumped right after I left work on the way home. Get your info right before you say something like that in a guy's thread. I have never seen one item for sale in one of gocchin's threads that was even close to a fair price...nevermind a high price. He consistently prices items WAY below the usual used value. I keep telling him to up his prices a bit, but he won't listen. I have a 9800 pro. and a 754 for my second pc does not , and will not beat a 6800ultra.
on 3d 03 with a 9800 pro you will get 6500 for score and thats it. and 6800 ultra will get at least 12500 . So dude No way that he can beat a FX 55 , and 6800ultra.I also have a 939 3700+ dfi ultra mobo, and a sapphire X800gto2 that beats my 754 mobo and 9800 pro.

I'm using the Zerex Racing Coolant now... the good thing is all it takes is a cap for the entire system. So far so good but we'll see over the long term how it performs.
It lowered the temps in my race car by about 11 degrees F the last time I raced it in Medicine Hat when it was 34c outside. Made the difference between being able to run all day and having to skip runs to let it cool down. I know, not really pertinant to water cooling computers, but it does do what it's supposed to :D

They connect directly to the gpu. See the square pattern on the bottom of one of the tubes? Yeah, that screws the tube onto the gpu itself. You install the cards into the motherboard in open air. This makes it so that the tubes are pointing straight up (like industrial chimney's, if you will). Then, using either LN2 or dry ice (sometimes mixed with methanol), you begin to overclock. For example, he could pour the LN2 into the pipe, start cranking up the volts, and benching. It's not a long term solution. It just gives you massive negative temps for enough time to complete a benchmark and be all the envy of RFD :lol:

A better "long term" solution is phase change or chilled liquid cooling. Xtremesystems is about your best bet for reading up on it (there are other sites, but I imagine most of the people here are familiar with that one the most).
