Im due for some new wheels , very soon
My '92 Acclaim , aint cutting it , I hate the "rent a wreck" look
Ive had Hondas's - loved them
Ive had a 91 Nissan Maxima , it went 399,000 kilo's ( wish i still had that car)
Ive love an Accord , but there pricey than H-LL
Im thinking 2000-2003 mid size , 4 door ,
would prefer japanese , but like the Chrysler Intrepid , Taurus SEL , Camry
My mechanic is a 2001 Taurus owner , and is very happy with his
Im not sure on a Taurus ,
I do , mostly city driving , more hwy in the summer (Hamilton > Niagara falls)
Im 6ft1 ,, 260 , I need some leg room , head room and a good size trunk
Any recommendations
thanks
JP

How about a 2000 or newer Mazda Millenia? 2001 models and newer have side impact air bags....a hard to find feature in this price range (I think).
http://www.canadiandriver.com/testdrives/01millenia.htm
I believe that 2000 models and earlier have both the 2.5 L base (non supercharged) and the optional 2.3 L (supercharged). Get the 210 hp 2.3 L Miller engine. :D
Depreciation on this vehicle is unbelievable. Very poor if you buy this car new; great deal if you buy it used in very good/excellent condition (based on a vehicle inspection of course).
This one has me thinking for my next vehicle.

If you like the Intrepid you'll probably really like the 300M. Has plenty of room up front.

man, the 300m is an absolutely beautiful car, wonder if the still make them, or was it replaced by the 300c

01 -03 Protege Manual Tranny
I'm 6'4" and fit no problem. They are dirt cheap used now that the 3 is out. Great for city driving, good handling, decent acceleration for a small car.
Not so good for long highway drives although the seats are pretty comfortable.

2 options;
4 door option; 1999+ regal gs. 3.8L supercharged engine, 240 horses with all the comfort of a buick. Easily modded; throw on CAI, 3.25" pulley, headers, bigger exhaust pipe, high-flow cat, performance mufflers, and chip, and you will be smoking most cars.
2 door option; 1998 riviera. same 3.8L supercharged engine, I just prefer the door over the four. It also looks a lot better than the regal. If you can find one with low miles it would be a great buy, but be prepared to pay; they only made 10,000 in all north america in 1998, so they are kind of hard to find.
ps - I bought a 1995 riv about a month after my 20th birthday, and LOVE it.

'00 Infiniti G20T.
sure it may be underpowered but it'll still do 0-100km/h in 8.5 sec....but please get a manual...ikt's got a rev-happy sr20de engine....reliability may be beaten only by Lexus. I'm driving my 3rd G20 and keep going back. They handle like a dream, lots of trunk space (you'd be surprised how big it is!), high fuel economy, solid european styling, japanese quality and not too many on the road. just take one for a test drive.

Isn't there a minimum age for driving a Buick? i.e., around 40 yo? ;)

if you want something domestic i would suggest looking a grand am gt, the fully loaded v6 model can be had for under 15k
good looking car for a domestic
maybe a late model honda accord would fit in the price range
