Anyone ever used itravel2000?

Found a deal I like on the travel web site itravel2000.com.
Has anyone ever used this agency/site? Any comments?

Yes I booked a trip in November to Cancun using itravel2000. It was awesome! They took care of everything, and were very knowledgable and helpful when booking.

It was my best trip ever, I will definately use them again for my next trip.

I booked a holiday with them before Christmas and I couldn't get through to anyone on their toll-free number so I ended up having to cancel the vacation all together. I wouldn't recommend them.

We had a great deal with them Jan 2004 and I would recommend them.

Mind you, I didn't have to interact with them much. Found a good deal, called and bought it. That was about it. So I don't know how they deal with problems.

I use Selloffvacations.com. Their prices are much better than Itravel but they are not very knowledgable, at least not when it came to Cancun.

They are pulling a "BAIT AND SWITCH" by advertising lower prices in the search results and then jacking up the rates when you want to reserve.
Plus, their customer service department is a joke.

On top of that, they have a tendancy to offer travel vouchers that are useless!

Booked our disney vacation last summer with them and had NO problems what so ever...everything went smoothly and their customner service is REALLY good. And I think they are open till like 11pm cause I remember calling a few times quite late while booking the vacation and they answered.

Actually... I've been in their office for the "grand tour" and they have their OWN customer service group. It isn't outsourced at all... a huge benefit.

It's also not "Bait & Switch", the vacation companies give them a specific number of trips at a specific price. ITravel (and every other company) just sells them off. If you miss the best deal, they'll give you what they have.

I've never used them... but I've been impressed with their operation and I probably would for a package vacation.

I use expedia for most of my travel.

Most travel agencies are all the same, until you ahve a problem. If they don't know much about your destination, they often pretend they do by reading off their in-house material to you.

I see no difference in that compared to buying a TV from a store advertised at $1,000 and then going to the store and reaching the check out and charging you $2,000 !!!!!

The entire travel industry is extremely unethical and honestly I shed no tears when I hear about layoffs in the travel industry. If people treated their customers with respect, then maybe you are not going to lose your job!

Wow.. you sure sound bitter over past experiences. Let it go, man. It's quite the generalization to apply your judgement across the entire travel industry based on a single bad experience that you had.

I used itravel2000 in March this year to book a trip to Mayan Riveria. I did my own research, before choosing to book with itravel2000.

I call them to make sure I get all the bells and whistles that they were promising on the website (free overnight hotel and 8 day parking) before I made the reservation online.

I even took screen shots of what they promised online, and emailed it to the agent whom I spoke with. Just to cover myself.

I got everything they advertised, and had a wonderful vacation.

Many of these agencies have high satff turnovers and there is always a high demand for their product. Not many travel agencies or even travel agents care much about customer service or satisfaction. They do a lot of high volume, so they have no reason to care. Besides, most people, except maybe RFDers aren't comfortable purchasing their vacation online.

Since I find star ratings unreliable, I usually crosscheck packages with actual vacationers' comments on http://www.tripadvisor.com/
People there often give you inside tips about a resort.

It is rare to find a last-minute deal on a good 5*
