Staples (http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds=,&webid=570099&affixedcode=WW) : $35 After rebate.
So final price is $20.

Here's some math. Don't get lost.

Staples' Price: $49.99
Future Shop's Price: $39.99

Price Matched Price = 39.99 - (49.99-39.99)/2 = $34.99
Add appropriate GST and PST.

Ontario: $34.99 + 2.45 (GST) + 2.80 (PST) = $40.24
Subtracting the mail-in-rebate gives $25.24, which is your final price.

Summary: $34.99 + 2.45 (GST) + PST*34.99 - 15 = $22.44 + PST*34.99

[edit] I should mention that Future Shop's website is out of stock, so there is no deal to be had.
[edit2] I haven't done this in a while :D

Here's some math. Don't get lost.

Staples' Price: $49.99
Future Shop's Price: $39.99

Price Matched Price = 49.99 - (49.99-39.99)/2 = $44.99
Add appropriate GST and PST.

Ontario: $44.99 + 3.15 (GST) + 3.60 (PST) = $51.74
Subtracting the mail-in-rebate gives $36.74, which is your final price.

Summary: $44.99 + 3.15 (GST) + PST*44.99 - 15 = $33.14 + PST*44.99

[edit] I should mention that Future Shop's website is out of stock, so there is no deal to be had.LMAO ... tooo funny... try again math boy ... your second edit still isn't right.

Now ... try not to get lost LMAO

Price Matched Price = the lower price - 50% of the difference
ie 34.99 NOT 44.99

And ya know what? We're not stupid... we know we pay taxes on the final price shown plus the rebate as well.

Maybe you didn't see the implication, but if I mention the website, then obviously I mean the price match cannot be done online. As the original poster did post, this deal can be tried in store.

Thanks for the post might buy one.
Dont worry about peoples comments, it just discourages people from posting deals.

Hey! I calculated that it costs $1!!! Wait! You don't do a square root equation??? Oh... Okay, it's $34.99 before rebate... LOL!!

Good luck finding these in store, they're hiding the stock as we speak.

The GPS version of Streets and Trips sucks, it does not give you turn by turn directions. It only SHOWS you were you are.

Yes. They will show up in status bar when you move the cursor over the map

IMHO MS's S&T2k5 doesn't worth the $ for it. Except last time when most RFDers can get the one with GPS included for $50 (or much less, w/ guts!) So far I am only using the GPS along w/ Mappoint 2k4.

Search for the other S&T2k5 thread, and you will see why I said it sucks. In short, trying to get a route from point A to B sometimes will surprise you how stupid the software is....

corrects nonexistent errors
makes mistakes doing it
points out what should be obvious to anyone here (we pay tax on pre MIR price)
assumes everyone who sees this deal pays 15% taxes
The Weenie takes the time to: Poke fun back at ItemFinder (with clear laughter before and after so intention is known to not be insulting)
Correct the mistakes in ItemFinder's posts
Thank CNBC for the deal.
And ... I'm the bad guy, who thinks they're better than everyone else, scares away newbies and needs to take "insensitivity training".

ItemFinder found the irony in his post, and I hope you can see it in yours. If not, please feel free to add me to your vBulletin ignore list.

It's too bad you're not my kid. My three daughters have learned to think before they speak. :cheesygri

I can't comment on the PC version of the program but I am pretty disappointed with the Pocket PC version. The maps are anything but complete. The Toronto maps don't even include the whole city. Without exaggeration, the two Toronto maps (there's a "Toronto" and "Toronto west") cover maybe half the city. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

However, I did use it in Quebec City and although I don't really have any knowledge of Quebec City whatsoever, it seemed to find whatever I looked for.

Hmm, that doesn't sound right, you might want to recheck your receipt (I'm assuming you did it in store).

Your price should be $34.99 + tax (so $40.24 at most, assuming 15% tax). It sounds like Staples didn't really beat the price by 150% like they are supposed to. Did you buy it in store (which location, please), or online?
