Tons of lumbar support. Chair looks like you payed through the nose. I got no complaints other than assembling the think will take some time.

Thanks for sharing this!! I almost went in there the other day, but didn't because I couldn't think of anything they might have that might interest me.
Now I've got a reason to go in. That's great!! I didn't even know they had a website either, so, again....thanks!

Buying in-store is a must because these things are overstock. Some boxes look like UPS got a hold of them. Mine had a big dent in the side but the chair is perfect.

Judging by the picture it looks fairly well constructed. The leather office chairs to avoid are the ones made by Global - they have one model where the leather covered back cushion is glued with contact cement to the plastic frame. I saw several customer returns sitting in the back of a store where the cushion actually fell off the plastic back.
BTW the most comfortable office/computer chair that I have ever used is a Herman Miller Aerion. We have them at work (unionized environment- where the union uses every excuse to find fault with everything - so the company went out and spent approx $1K per chair to shut the union up  ).

Thanks for the awesome find. Picked this up today, it's a great deal. Feels pretty good - and I didn't want to wasted $300 or so on a comparable chair. Also picked up a couple other things - that place is pretty sweet. I'll definitely have to check out stuff there in the future.
Thanks!

I went to look at the leather samsonite, but ended up buying a fabric task chair instead made by samsonite. It was a tough call, but after much deliberation I went for the more comfortable chair. It seemed to have much more lumbar support than the leather one. The price was 79.99 at the Richmond, BC location. My friend picked one up as well. We also made a trip to the local staples to compare and found that the samsonite was fare better than most of their $200 chairs. Don't think you could go wrong with either chair. Both seem like good deals. Curious if anyone compared these chairs (if they were available) and what your thoughts were. Still might pick up the leather one as well, since I will need another soon.

Why would you attach the Best Buy link? The chair that is listed here is available at XSCargo, not Best Buy. I am sitting on it right now and it is not a Samsonite. Also for the person that indicated that they needed one to rest their shoulders, it has a very high back, so I don't know what you were looking at and it has great lumbar support.

Just got it home and set it up - not too painful. Feels very good, great lower back support. Smells like real leather. This is definitely a Samsonite, otherwise someone's doing a great job forging labels :D
Build quality is excellent. If you don't mind the brown (it's ok but I would prefer black) this is a very HOT deal. I went to Staples today and sat in some of their chairs, it's definitely in the 300-500 chair range.
Thanks for the great tip!

I almost did the exact same thing. The fabric chair felt a little more comfortable, but overall I preferred the more "sophisticated" (if you can call it that :D) look of the leather one.

You're confused because you bought the wrong chair. Just because you bought a chair that wasn't a Samsonite doesn't mean they're not selling Samsonites. Maybe your store was out of stock of the Samsonite, but the store I went to DEFINITELY sold Samsonites - I bought one. I also saw the Novimex, which does look similar, but I ended up opting for the Samsonite, partly because of the name.
The chair is extremely well made, is very comfortable, and weighs a ton. My whole house smells of the leather right now. THe only problem is that the arms are a little too high for the desk I have (an Ikea desk that has the stupid support beams running under each edge), so I have to sit a bit farther back then I am used to, which isn't necessarily bad.

I just called the Ottawa location and asked if they have any of the Samsonites left. He said "no all sold out". So I asked if they have any of the other type and he says "which ones?", to which I replied "ummmmm the other leather ones for the same price" (not remembeing exactly what they are called). He puts me on hold for 10 minutes and then comes back on the line and says, "any chance you could call back in 40 minutes? We would have to crawl around in the back of the store to see if we have any and there are only like oh my god 4 people at work today I dont know what they are thinking!"
Is it just me or does anyone else suspect that this wasn't an XScargo rep at all and that it was in fact a vaccuum cleaner in the inventory that went ballistic, is holding the entire store hostage and decided to answer the phone.

The people who work know nothing about the store, monkeys if you will. Be patient and have a look for your self.
By the way a buddy picked up the last one in Ottawa, display model.
They have a cheaper type that is good but not hot for the same price.

#1) Thnx for the deal Max_Dealing !!! :)
#2) The Samsonite & Novimex only come in "Chocolate Brown". Not black, but better than puke Burgandy.
#3) brownstein: 15% Tax plus shipping from TO would kill the deal fro you (IMO). You may be better off trying to buy it/them from one of their BC stores.
#4) I believe I ran into NuggyBuggy while in the store and had a brief chat with him.
#5) Thnx to Deckard for pointing out that the Keele store was out of the Samsonites. Saved me from heading out there for nothing.... :)
#6) Thnx to Mystix for the heads-up that the Scarborough "store from hell" had stock. It looks like they had about 10 or so left by closing time. My advice: Go to the back of the store right away, get the chair, pay and get your a$$ out of there ASAP.
It was a toss-up for me between the Samsonite and the Novimex. The Novimex is a bit more comfortable if you have long legs and lower back support seemed better. I went with the Samsonite primarily due to the fact that the seat foam is much thicker. I don't think you can lose by going with either (IMO).
* Looks like the Novimex & Samsonite chair divisions may be one and the same: :-0

I'm not sure if you know this, but XSCargo does not let you exchange or return things unless defective. According to a guy I spoke to there, they WILL let you exchange defective parts. But since stock is low, if I were you ReBeL, I would get to the store as fast as you can with the broken part. And according to their return policy *as I recall it posted on the register* If the product is defective, and they do not have the exact product available, you are entitled to a refund. Which reminds me, I should probably check out the second chair I bought after being satisfied with the first.

They aren't on the floor. They are oddly displayed at the back of the store against a wall on a shelf. They looked kinda decent, but to each their own. Might be worth checking out if the price is right.

For those who still want the 94.99 Samsonite ones K-W location still had 4 at 11:00AM on Monday.I was there just after the truck arrived and they did not get anymore in for this entire week according to two different worker drones.... So hurry if you are interested. Although I find it hard to believe a store like that only gets one truck a week... that is the story they all stuck to.
I wanted the Novimex but settled for the Samsonite. I even offered to buy the floor model Novimex but was told they don't sell the floor models? What the heck kind of way is that to do business? Speaking of that on Saturday my buddy and I went in and got 2 novimexs and were just about to pay for them in line when someone from the staff came up and said they were already sold.... showed us a receipt and so we had to give them up. I was pretty ticked but I left my name and number in case they do get some Novimex's in. After thinking about it and trying out about 15 different chairs at Staples today I decided I would rather have a Samsonite than any of the crap at Staples... So I bought a Samsonite one that I will just leave unopened till next week in case they get some Novimex's in. Then I will do an exchange even if it isn't their policy while reminding them of how they took the Novimex out of my hands at the cash register after telling us and the guy who beat us out by paying first that their were tons left in the back....
Thanks to the original poster either chair is a GREAT DEAL

Picked up one of the cloth Samsonite's for $79.99 at the Mississauga (Dundas/Dixie) location.
Found the cloth more comfortable than the leather, and I wasn't overly fond of the colour of the leather either (would've preferred black or dark grey).
Great chair. Assembled in about 15 minutes. Good build quality and very comfortable, although I'd like to be able to adjust the height of the lumbar support (I find it a little high for me). And, the 10-year warranty is a nice plus, too.
As of about noon today, the Mississauga location had at least a dozen of the cloth Samsonite's. Didn't notice exact stock on the leather, but I think they had a few.
$91.99 total for a high quality ergonomic chair like this is great! Although, in a funny (twisted) sort of way, I think I'm going to miss my 15-year old Idomo desk chair that I think I paid $70 way back then. Just too bad the cloth is ripped and the foam is disintegrating leaving little bits of foam all over the place. :)

Well, I've been following this thread today at work and thought, what the hell, I'll pick one up. I called Ex-itsbrokebutwe'llsellitanyway and had them reserve one for me. Went to see it after work and, i'm sorry, but it couldn't have looked any more different than the picture posted on page 2 of this thread. First off all, I really want to talk about the quality because....well... because its a chair, but I have to mention the ungodly shade of shiat brown that this fake leather pos chair is made from. There, with that out of the way, quality isn't that bad. If you're a leaner like I am, keep a screwdriver handy, cause it looks like you'll be tightening the bolts every few weeks. And don't lean too far, cause the small wheelbase will not hold up a tall man's frame withouth falling over. Basically, it's a $99 chair that looks and feel's like a $99 chair. Don't be fooled into thinking it competes with $300-$500 range chair because it doesn't. A chair of that range wouldn't be sold in a place of business like that warehouse, where broken/refurbished infomercial knive sets go to die.
If you're still interested after reading this, there were 3 of the Novimex left and a ton of Samsonite at the Keele location. Make sure to rip off the tag that says "reserved for Dave".

Went for the leather, even though I found the cloth one a tiny bit more comfortable.
Just that the leather is easier to clean and looks nicer. The one at home is cloth and is showning some foam...
Cant wait to get home.
