April 30th is a guideline.
If you owe tax and file AFTER April 30th, then, you will have to pay for interest to govt
If you are asking for refund from Revenue canada, you can always file AFTER April 30th (of course they won't give you the interest you are refunding)

for future reference..if u ever have a question use this site called
HTTP://WWW.GOOGLE.COM
consider using the following key search words "canadian tax due date"
http://www.google.ca/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2005-06,GGLD:en&q=canadian+tax+due+date
it'll end up leading you to the official GOV of CANADA TAX website...where we can only assume they would have all the info req'd

Personal returns are due April 30th. If your self employed or amrried to someone who is self employed its due June 15th but if you owe money its due April 30th nonetheless.

Just to clarify. If you are self employed, the due date for filing is June 15th whether you owe money or not.
However, you should pay taxes by April 30th as interest will start accruing on May 1st and onwards.
So, pay taxes by April 30th and you can file return on or before June 15th. Policy wise, this does not make sense but its the law
