Doom 3 for Xbox

Now this is a sweet game. Granted I have never played the PC version but I can't imagine it being any better. The only thing is I can't believe how terrible I am at games nowadays. Back in the day I could blow through Secret Agent or Wizardry or The Bards Tale on my Apple IIe in a couple of sittings. Are games much more complicated these days or am I just out of touch? I would be interested to hear other people's thoughts on the Xbox version of Doom 3 especially if you have played the PC version and can compare them. Also, I think the new Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is out next week too. That looks to be an amazing game. Although I am sure I will suck at it like every other game. :D

Damn, why didn't we get a Collector's Edition on the PC? I wouldn't mind getting Ultimate Doom/Doom 2 and all the other bonus features with my purchase...

Games are more complicated these days. The only time I found games to be complicated back then was because you couldn't save like you can now.

I've heard many people say that they got a better experience playing Doom 3 than Halo 2.

ya i think doom is only good on computer.. and even on PC i dont find it that fun.. maybe not my type of game..

Compared to the PC version, for sure. But look at the specs (and therefore the cost) needed to run it on a PC :(

I thought this game was coming out Monday... I guess you managed to "borrow" a copy prior to its release ;)

I remember Doom II in high school (I guess that dates me a bit!!).. It was awesome playing deathmatch!

The game is amazing. I'm not so much worried about a few missing textures. I still suck at it though! :D
