I know we said no stock tips. But I am curious about hwo exchange traded funds (ETFs) work and I want a listing of the ETF's. I have a book on ETF's but I can't seem to find any information on the exact funds available. I heard there were about 100 of these and I would like to take a look at them as investment choices. Anyone have leads on this stuff.
Thanks

is there a specific etf you're looking for or a specific sector? There are indices that trade on the TSX. You can check on the tsx website for thier indices. You can also look at iunits.com

I'm a moron... I thought Bylo was his real name. Then I noticed it was Bylo Selhi - Buy Low, Sell High...
Maybe he really changed his name?

Well, there ARE a bunch of "Selhi"s listed in the phone book, including a "B Selhi"...so it's not unimaginable. :) But he does keep his real name private; it wouldn't really make a difference if the public knew it anyway.

Exactly like stocks. Watch out for commission fees.
Etrade is fine, no special account needed.
Very liquid for major benchmarks. Slightly less liquid for sector specific benchmark iUnits.
