Anybody ever heard of this site?
My organization is looking to contribute a few thousand dollars to some charities, many of which are registered on that site. Want to make sure it's a reputable site.

Whenever i get extra's i would donate.
Back when i sold all thos eLEDs i donated some to Daily bread food bank.. my favourite charity.
BUt since RFD stopped letting me sell LED keychains i cant help poor starving children anymore =(
they give you a PDF print out receipt that can be used for tax purposes. But it has to be a minimum $10 donation in order to get the tax recepit. It has the numbers and all that ish on it so its pretty legit. You can request them mail you a paper receipt too.. or even send out an appreciation card. you know those things that say "so and so donated $xx.xx in your honour!"

Thanks, did some googling and they do look legit. Even HP has partnered with them, and they're supported by many other companies too.
We're an international student organization that has a heavy focus on fundraising. In just our local Vancouver office, we're donating just under $10000 this year. Now we just need a domain name for our web site, but a dollar spent is a dollar less to charity... :)

Site is legit. This is a very old thread but having come across it I felt a need to update it since I'm using it actively. I've been using them for years for donations. Allows you to donate via credit card or cheque. You get your tax receipt immediately via email in pdf. They also let you setup a "Giving Page" in someones memory to donate through. I set one up for my mother and added a number of charities. A number of times throughout the year I'll donate through that page.
Right now I'm using it to donate $1,700 in change I recently rolled. I'd been collecting the coins for approx 10 years and wanted to give it to charity. Yes this doesn't likely make sense to most rfders, but giving is different.
I'm donating the coins at $50 per week to registered charities that people suggest to me. Normally I'd just pick them myself but this gives people some satisfaction that if they can't give they can give through me. I'm giving people credit for it on my blog www.CheapIndianGuy.com (http://www.CheapIndianGuy.com), if you're so inclined ping me here or there and I'll make a donation to a charity. Just let me know which one and why. I'm trying to donate to the ones that actually help people. Food Bank, etc. Not the top heavy ones like Unicef etc that give 5% or so of your donation to the needy.

Hello,
I just noticed your post and I thought I would take a moment to tell you that Canadahelps.org is a wonderful non-profit organization whom you can trust fully. I founded and direct a Canadian registered charity called The Themba Development Project Association. Themba is a volunteer-run organization in which all donations go directly to the people living in a community called Thembalethu which is in South Africa. I lived in this community and they were so poor that they could not afford to buy seeds to grow food and as a result were only eating every 3-5 days. My organization has been operating for nearly 1.5 years now and has made positive change in this community in terms of education, food security and agriculture development. Canadahelps.org has been very beneficial to my organization as they allow my donors to make donations to my organization using their credit card. This is wonderful because I can accept credit card donations without paying admin fees to set up a credit card machine!
Please feel free to visit my website, you can also find me on facebook. A little goes a long way to helping a community in need, I really apprecaite your support!

Used to work for a company that did the PR for Canadahelps (at the time we also did the PR for Redflagdeals). Site is legit. I have sent people gift cards from Canadahelps before and was thinking of doing them as stocking stuffers this year.
