TD owns trademarks on the names Tiger, TigerDirect and TigerSoftware. The last two, sure, but "Tiger"? WTF?

lol that's so stupid.
I hope tigerdirect loses business now for such a stupid lawsuit. Hopefully Apple counters them and owns them because of delaying the release.

There's precedent, given that Apple Computers has had to settled with Apple Records/Corp of Beatles fame several times for trademark violation.

The judge should make Apple payout money to tiger in the form of rebates from either BENQ or ONREBATE.

Good for them, apple sues everyone for stupid things, some news paper spills the beans on when a new product is released, they sue the hell out of them, apple is too stupid to register ipod.com after they release the product, so someone registers it and they sue the hell out of them. Give apple a taste of their own medicine those bastards

if anything, they'll get more...
If for nothing else, this will win over a few new fans (by way of new customers) on the PC side.
I'm glad Tiger Direct is suing Apple. Apple had the temerity of suing their loyal fans for showing new products a few days earlier than its release. If the did a better job of keeping it under wraps, then it wouldn't happen.

Apple is litigation happy these days, so TigerDirect suing them is quite the funny. I guess iTiger won't be coming out anymore.

Man I bought something from them once online, and I get at least 1 email a day from them on "Special Deals" and what not. I think they are getting pretty desperate with this lawsuit.
If only their items weren't so damn expensive and they had less weird brands in stock.

yeah, this is just a big publicity grab for TigerDirect
so TigerD is just behaving like Apple (except TD does not sue 19yr olds):
