I'm currently in the process of transfering my Primus talkbroad band number to my Comwave account. I've had 2 experieces without a dial tone when I was with Primus, both time it took average one week to fix (consider that it was my only line, that's unacceptable). It take average one hour (when they say 20min) to get a live CSR on the phone EVERY TIME, NO MATTER WHAT TIME YOU CALL. (That's the reason I deceided to cancel them) I tried everything, i even emailed their senior CSR and told them I know Bestbuy carries Primus TBB, and I work at the computer department. That really didn't do much.

the worst part is they blast your ears with their own ads while you are on hold

Right now, its taking more than expected time (one month) for the phone number transfering, Comwave says its Primus end, yet I still have to wait a hour (and most likely more) to reach Primus. They are the *****iest company I've ever dealt with, I will trash them like no tomorrow with every bestbuy customer.

Does anyone know what I can do to make my voice heard? will the better business buereau take care of this?

totally agree, Primus is teh suck. i was actually happy to move back to Symcrapatico after 6 months of Primus... that's how bad they are.

another thing, although Primus just buys and resells Bell Nexxia's xDSL/ATM interface (for their Consumer Broadband DSL) ... when I "upgraded" from Primus to Sympatico, I experienced an almost 50% improvement in bandwidth and similar pingtime reduction.

Both services I had with the "standard" DSL package. Suspicious, no?

My first experience with Primus was about 5 years ago with them calling me to sign up. No big deal, said no. Then 2, again said no, then 3, I just hung up on them. By the foruth time, I found out the term "Take me off you're list, *&$#!"

I've stayed clear away from them since then. ;)

Primus likely has bad peering partners. Your ping to the gateway may be fine as it's Bell's, but beyond that it's anyone's guess. Same with every other DSL providers. Some are good, some are bad.
