Does anyone know if a nice desk mat like the Ikea is available some where else? Office Depot?

It looks sleek, but $50 ? I tried fabbing my own, but wouldn't really know where to begin.

Hi Jazzhound,

I looked in the Staples catalogue and found this (http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?webid=498721&CatIds=%2C&AffixedCode=WW) . It's $34.95. Hope this helps.

I have the same one linked by Bordello. I like it, it's a really nice surface to write on. Firm but with just the right amount of resistance with a pen.

The Ikea one is overkill.

Thanks guys, I'll look into it. Seems a little small, to be honest.

The Ikea one looks about right and would match my desk perfectly; it too, is an Ikea. I believe the pad is made to fit a Jerker desk :D

It's a "desk mat". You place it on your desk for cushioning when you're writing. Very handy, and it makes your desk look professional (unless your desk is a total mess like mine).

When I click the link it says it's $29.99?

That's Ikea USA. Ikea Canada sells it for 39.$99, but after tax it might as well be $50. I have the Ikea one and it's great. Works wonderfully as a mouse pad.
