Not everything is more. Usa looks good till you experience different aspects.

Exactly.
I'm not accepting random bullplop answers. I want to know the real reasons.

Prices in Oslo are higher than here.

What's your point?

less people, further distances, more regulation via government, you will pay more for certain products.

Here's a suggestion, you don't like it leave. This has been discussed to death.
April 28th is a National Day of Mourning for those killed or injured on the job. Mourn for the dead, fight for the living. We all deserve to return home safely at night.

OR! Do what a smart consumer does and shop cross border and import.
Even with shipping fees some things work out to be significantly cheaper than anything available locally.
Best of both worlds.

Because for the most part, Canadians are lazy complainers who are too stupid to keep up with the problems.

Hypothetically if there was a huge uproar that really disturbed the government in power (assume people were mad about alcohol tax) they would reduce the tax a small amount, or distract the public by messing something else up. Everyone would then go and complain about the other thing.

Gas prices are a great example. Notice how right after a huge oil spill the gas prices dropped? They need to distract everyone with something.

Americans pay back big time when something goes wrong. Such as with their health or finances.. at least the middle and lower class do. All those "retail" savings are wiped out ten fold to bankruptcy. Even having a decent health plan is not always a guarantee their wallets won't be emptied.

Exactly. Education and health care are a heck of a lot more expensive in the US than Canada. Pick your priorities. I know what mine are.
