Actually its more like 35-40 minutes.

Union-St.George: 10 minutes
Transit at St. George: 2-4 minutes (I hate walking up those stairs!!)
St.George-Kipling: 20-23 minutes

you could take the Go train and make it in 10-15 minutes. if you ask me its worth the extra dollar.

union to st george is more like 15 minutes.

transit at st george really depends on your luck, and weather a train is there or not. can be anything betweeen 30 seconds to 5 minutes.

20-23 minutes to kipling is a very optmistic estimate and highly unlikely during peak hours.

then again you might know what you're talking about if you've actually timed your commute and averaged it out over a couple of weeks.

its usually 1 minute per stop.
1.5 minute per stop during peak hours.
and a 4-5 minute waiting time MAX for the subway to come @ transfer points.

Hum yeah actually maybe you're right. I kinda travel off-peak the majority of times. So in offpeak Islington-St.George was about 20 minutes. So I added another 1.5 minutes for Kipling.

Don't forget that the subway usually stops dead on the tracks between Islington and Kipling for a few minutes to allow an oncoming train to safely pass.

Better idea to take a GO train to Kipling GO (attached to the TTC station) if the times are convenient for you.
