Has anyone been to the new theatre? How does it compare to Silvercity at Metrotown :cheesygri

Edit: That's odd, I thought I posted this in Entertainment :|

Well it was dead on opening day but i've gone back and seemed to be doing well on batman returns opening day. Im not an expert but the screens seemed the same to me. The sound was nice and loud which I dont always find at silvercity metropolis.

What I dont like is the first time we were there because we arrived an hour early and our movie didnt start for another hour we paid $13 bucks for parking but looks like the changed the prices and this time paid $5 and it was from 6pm to 6am i think.

The card board trays for your food are very flimsy so you have to be careful with that. Also they didnt get mr and mrs smith when it opened days before at other theatres across b.c.

Nothing special about Paramount. Just the convenient location.

In that case, I'll just head over to metrotown to watch War of the Worlds. Skytrain is more convenient for me.

There was another discussion about the Paramount in the Entertainment forum in which someone mentioned that they hope there would be less kids/teenie boppers just because of the downtown location. Well, the first time I went there, it was like that. But the last time I went, the teenie boppers have started to infiltrate the theatre.

I'm a teen myself, far from being a teeny bopper though.

I don't have a problem with kids/teens; just people (of any age) who are loud and obnoxious. Unfortunately, the most noticeable group of people who are like that are the teenie boppers. Oh well...c'est la vie.

Henry maybe it's the type of movie you are watching that's bringing out the teenagers, not the location...

anyways, if it's the same quality as the other silver cities, then great. But people who DRIVE downtown to see a movie I think are insane.
