I don't know too much about cars and I've actually only had this car for a few months so all I can do is tell you everything I know, it was handed down to me by my father and now it needs emission testing, I live in Hamilton and so public transport and biking seem to fulfil all my needs. I didn't want to spend the extra money.

What the car has:
--------------------

1.2L Engine (Absolutly SWEEET on gas hah)
1990 Nissan Micra
180,000ish KM's
Standard Transmission
Power anything: No
Cassette Stereo

Starts and runs great. The car is currently drivable, I've been driving it for the past few months, but I'm sure it would need some minor work to pass safety and emission tests when changing users.

Check out the pictures.

if you want to come and see it, it's Located in the West Side of Hamilton, around McMaster.

For this price this is the perfect car you can learn to drive stick on ;).

It's cheeper then a new clutch.

And anyone who can drive standard will agree, that it's much better. Not saying you should get my car, but you should invest in learning standard, I like it so much more.

maybe you can lease it.. for less then a dollar a day you can have your very own micra! :) next time you go and buy a small coffee, just think.. if I only took that 90 some odd cents, in a year I would have my own Micra. Then, after you have it, 90 some odd cents would fill your gas tank :P

What do you think needs to be saftied and needs to be fixed for e-test pass?
Also, how are the brakes?

Thanks.

ziptron
Jul 15th, 2005, 03:53 PM
I -think- the carburator needs to be replaced and then it should be able to pass the e-test

the breakes are fine, they would pass a safety for sure.

BUMP for a good guy even though he turned down my amazing trade and cash offers. And I am even more enthusiastic about this car than the guy in SK, since I need to learn how to drive 5-speed and will probably put a fiberglass body kit on this car (that would be a first for a Micra, I guess) just to pimp it out. Screw the TV show. :) ...

LMK if you're still interested in my offer. Hope you sell the car soon for your requested price though. Peace out for now.

Thanks guys!

I'm actually going to need to sell the car faster then I thought because I need to sell it before I leave the country. Just a little side note for everyone (I said "leave" not "flee", don't let this discourage you from buying the car) ;).. seriously though, I will be away from Canada for a few months and I'd rather sell the car then let sit in the driveway.

I'm leaving in T minus 20 days. RiP thus far you've given me the best offer perhaps you wanted to come down and see the car personally ? If I get nothing better then your offer of $155 by say next tuesday/wednesday it's yours, thanks for your patience.

This is everyones last chance though, soon it will be gone.

- Off road adventures
- Destruction involving fire and/or explosives

I forgot to mention, who ever buys this car has to go through an intensive background check and interview!

This is my baby!! you can't blow it up! :)

well, it does have centimental value, it taught me how to drive standard.

For this price if anything, it's the perfect way to learn how to drive standard, it's cheeper then a course.

j/k, blow it up if you wish :P

Welp,

I see that the couple of offers I received for the car which were supposed to buy the car for sure fell through (unsurprisingly). SOOO the car has now no price. First person to post an offer of more then $100 even $101 can have the car.

you absolutely cannot go wrong for $100. But it must be picked up soon, today or tomorrow even. If you pick it up today I'll make it $20 less and if you pick it up tomorrow I'll make it $10

So pick up this thing today!! for $80

ziptron
Sep 14th, 2005, 11:32 PM
Well the car is pretty much sold.

those of you who I didn't get back to were simply not the first to respond.

Thanks for all the offers though,

Welp,

I took quite a large break from RFD and my car sat on my friends driveway for a while. Having the sale which I thought was final fall through, hoping to just put the car on the road I kept it. Now my friend wants his driveway space back. So once again, the car is for sale, for the same great price of $101.

post here if you want the car, do not private message me please.

posting here shows everyone who posted first, and no one can argue.

Thanks!

to answer some questions.

- the $101 come from a random number generator.
- I'm selling because I don't need a car for the next few years and I don't have a place to store it. I asked for $350 at the very beggining but it was taking too long to sell, I need it out.

The car runs great but would need replacement of the following...

- Back Struts will soon need to be replaced
- Minor body work if you wish, (Pictures available on my very first post)
- E-Break line needs to be replaced in order to pass safety it simply snapped.
- A new carburator would make you pass the e-test with a smile. Though who knows, it may even pass now I haven't done the test nor do I intend to.

wow..this is an awesome deal. More awesome if you'll be looking at buying a GM car in the future and see if you can use this to trade it in under GM Car Heaven program where they will give you $1000 credit to your new car.

I don't know the details of the Car Heaven thing though....best to look it up before plunging money down on this car.

I remember trying to sell a car for $100 once. It was a good car but in needed about $900 in work i.e. windshield and exhaust and it was roadworthy. But the cheap Fu***rs who tried to haggle for a $100 really blew my mind

ziptron
Nov 22nd, 2005, 09:34 AM
haha yeah, some people just don't believe good deals when they see them.

This car probably needs a lot less work then $900. It currently drives fine, starts up with out a problem and runs great and efficiently. Of course, the government dosn't believe so. Therefore it would need some work to pass safety, (ie, the Emergency Break line, reverse light blulb needs to be replaced) and some work to pass Emissions testing, perhaps a new carburator (or you can get a $200 conditional 2 year pass and not fix a thing).

Either way, you put $400 max into the car, it will be a beauty.

OR, just keep it around and drive it low key in parking lots while learning to drive standard. For $100 it's cheaper then a drivers course.

gstylez
Nov 22nd, 2005, 10:59 AM
etest and safety can also be done for like $250+ if u know someone
this is a good deal.. wished i had parking spot for it as i would love to learn standard.

Come pick if up if you want it, else I call the scrap and they give me the same amount of money if not more for the car.
