the price of a very good 680i board is honestly through the roof far too much to pay for a mobo, too me the performance diff between an AM2 SLI system and a 680i SLi is notjustfied by the increased cost difference of the board alone. $260 and up for a 680i SLI 775 board is more than I would spend.

Probably not but if you are patient and can wait a few extra days expect to be able to obtain one np. But if you want a card today with excellent performance from a reputable seller who is known then this is a good deal:) I think most would have me on their good traders list:)

Prices will be anywhere from 250-275 plus taxes depending on brand for the new GT

The GTS 640 is still a solid card for anyone looking to play Crysis at high resolution or any current game or game to come on a fast system, it will handle anything very well. Initial results and benches show the new 512 being faster. True results will be available when the full games release, I see no reason why results will not continue as shown in released beta benches but I think the gap may narrow, considering the 640 has higher fill rate and bandwidth but the new core revision even with 256bit is amazing work by NV. As stated below at 24" the 640 is faster

FYI 640MB has shown to outperform the 512MB version at 1920x1200+.

Who cares? Me, and a few thousand other 24"+ LCD owners. Having to play at such a high resolution with AA/AF is very demanding.

I would prefer to have 640MB over the 512MB because of the higher bandwith.

I have not bothered spending any real time in the bios. The links provided will give a basic indication where this particular chip will go. IMHO and I have plenty of past overclocking experience, this chip on right board should be completely capable of 3.7 on high end air or water or phase.

These will also run 3ghz undervolted at 1.1. I can not afford corruption of very imp business emails. If one is interested fine if not np but I do not have time to bother seeing how far it will go to provide screenshots, I have no problem keeping it but am offering it to those who are right into the overclocking, I am not a die hard anymore... Running at 3.2 is way more than adequate to run anything and everything including excellent gaming with a 8800GT as example. yes it is identical to the link, I had the card in an Apevia case installed in a Gigabyte GA-MA69VM-S2 matx board, it has 2 pci slots and a pci-e the card

I can not recall whether it blocked the closest pci slot since I had a wifi pci card in the outside slot and that was it
