Just came across the old discussion about Stupid Computers and My Cable Shop. Caught my attention becuase these guys are from my home town!Wanted to add my two cents in, even though it is an old thread.
Years ago I worked in the same area of town where they had their store front, I had friends who knew M. C.. Now, as a new company (My Cable Shop) I am told they have returned to the same area, but are not open to the public. I can only imagine the second company was opened under the name Justina to escape creditors after the first business went belly up and they took hundreds of peoples (and businesses) money along with them!
A word of Caution: Out of curiosity I did a check with the better business bureaux. My Cable Shop has had quite a few reports filed against them in their short time functioning. I have never done business with them myself but given their track record with the BBB and in the community I do not plan on it. These guys are just not cool.

Anyone else had bad experiences with them? I ordered a 50" toslink cable hopefully it works correctly...

There are a lot of reasons for reorganizing a business, and from what I've seen it hasn't got anything to do with creditors. After several very positive experiences with My Cable Shop I will certainly continue to use them. I recommend them highly. Don't hesitate.

Its great you joined to defend a business.
Can you please elaborate on your experiences with MyCableShop? What types of items have you purchased from them? Can you describe your positive experiences?
Heres one other thing I find noteworthy. If you search "MyCableShop", this thread is about the 5th hit on Google. If you search "M. C.", this thread is the first hit.

You made a believer out of me with your detailed experience! I won't hesitate and I'm placing an order as we speak...
In all seriousness thanks for the research and heads up OP!

Not sure what problems that people have experienced but I've placed two orders with them in the past without any problems at all.
Items were shipped fast.
Was missing a couple of items in my first shipment and they were sent a few days later.
Prices are great.
Shipping is reasonable.
I would definitely deal with them again. In fact I'm just about to place another order today.
