I get a tremendous amout of spam from username@verizon.net
I don't know anyone with an email address at Verizon.
Can I ask my ISP to block all traffic from that domain?

set up a filter to automatically delete all emails from that address.

Depends on your ISP and the functionality they offer. As mentioned, the easiest thing to do is set up a filter that trashes them as they come in.

I would think the e-mail filter is catching it later than he wants, the server still has to deal with the traffic of the unwarranted spam, I believe he is looking for more of a solution to cut off the connection and block anything incoming from that e-mail address.

You can ask your ISP to filter out verizon e-mails. Worst case, they'll say no :P
