My current connection to the net is via Linksys Wireless G USB netword adapter which talks to my wireless G router.

Yesterday I shut my system down overnight and when I turned on the PC it showed no power to the USB adapter. I checked the cables and switched to another USB slot, when I rebooted I had a big X on my connection and could not fgure out why its not detecting.

I switched back to the original USB slot and there was power, I let windows repair the connection and I was able to surf. I shut down again and the same thing happened connection disapeared, only way to get it back was to let windows repair it

Anyone have any idea why this started happening? Norton scanned everythign and found nothing.

I've seen this issue many times.

There is a hotfix for it. If you do not want to call MS, let me know and I will get the hotfix for you.
