Hi all,

I have a Lacoste Tshirt and Polo size 5. But I find it a bit too long. Anyone have experience putting this stuff in the dryer and how much will it shrink?

I doubt you can just shrink the length. If it is overall too big then wash hot, dry hot and that may do it. However, if you just want it shortened, a local alteration/tailor shop could likley do it. I had a dress shirt too long, local place cut it and hemmed it in less than 5 min and you would never know.

actually it will shrink in the dryer. Just throw it in there and check every 15 minutes.

if it does shrink, it might shrink all around.

synatech would you reccomend the place that you went to? Cause i've got a couple Jones of NY and other not so cheap dress shirts that all came a tad long... (fine fine i'm a bit short) and it'd be great if i could shorten it a bit. Also was it expensive for the alterations?

It was in Hamilton, so it may not be close for you. It was Gilbert's Mens shop. Gilbert's wife actually did the alteration for me. As for cost - I don't know because it was free with the shirt I bought.

edit - you asked if I recommended them? I buy 90% of my clothes there now. Their service is 2nd to none. The prices might not be cheap (I'd say they're normal prices) but they always include alterations for me. Off the rack made to fit. They also have newer trends and will bring in items at request.

edit2 - here's their website (not a great site): http://www.bigtallx-tall.com/ and although they target big and tall, they have half the store for regulars and the other half for big and talls.
