I am trying to install an driver upgrade for my Wacom Graphire Tablet. I download the file from the site and when I went to install it, a program called 3D BUTTON CREATOR GOLD started installing. I stopped it quickly before it could completely install.

I then tried to do the exact same thing on my laptop and had no problems. This is why I think my computer has been hijacked.

I tried installing other software - no problem. Back to the Wacom exe file.....3D BUTTON CREATOR GOLD started installing again!

Any ideas what to do? I checked system restore and nothing new has been added for weeks.

I'm on Windows XP Pro.

Get a program called "HiJack This" or "SpyBot: Search & Destroy"

Tried SpyBot - did not reveal anything other than my Windows update was "turned off".

I will try HiJack This but in thinking about this problem I recall installing some Firefox plug-ins and my system going nuts around the time that they releases 1.0.7. I deleted the plugins but maybe there is some residual program or something messing things up.

Doesn't look like spyware to me...
