I just came back from FS. Apparently with any purchase, you get 3 months free Rogers highspeed WITHOUT a contract. All you need is a credit card. I didn't have one, so no go for me.

Once you get the form, you have 7 days to reply or else it'll expire.

EDIT #2:
Confirmed! Highspeed express

No contract? Are you sure about that? Rogers likes to people to sign their lives away, so I doubt this will be an exception. Is it Extreme or Express?

I doubt it'll be extreme...but you never know what they're up to.

Hm... it might only be highspeed lite... I'm not sure anymore. Sorry.
OK I got one yesterday,
They came and installed today. It is Extreme with no contract. 3 months free. I did not even bought anything from FS. Just went to check the fuji DVDs. They did not honour 30% off coupon, so left them only with roger deal.
They even waived the $10 as I dont have the cable TV. :cheesygri

edit: It is High speed express not extreme, just called to confirm. BTW it is second day and already connection died few times. Going back with DSL after promotion period.

If I already have rogers, do I get 3 monthes free?

Is that works for cogeco or shaw cable?

I have used this offer for 3 months, and cancelled without any problems.

Make sure you give them 30 days notice before the end of your 3 month period or you will be charged for the next month.

The offer is completely free from sign up through installation.

I got the same deal last week. I think originally FS used to give away these kit boxes when you purchased something above $100, but they are now giving them away for free with a dummy purchase of $0 on the receipt. I guess you get to choose Extreme/Express/Lite/Ultra-Lite but its 3 months free for all [I saw only Extreme and Express boxes in that particular FS].

I took a High Speed Extreme Box and called up Rogers. They said: no contract, free for 3 months, after that you can pay regular price, or cancel, or go down to express or lite. no modem fee. Installed yesterday no problems. Checked once and the download speed seems more like in the 1-2 mbps range though [at dslreports.com] ....

So do I actually have to buy anything at Futureshop or do I just walk up to the desk and ask for the free internet offer?

This offer has been going on forever. It is for Bell Sympatico or Rogers. And it is offered at FS or BB.
You only have to make a purchase, and it could even be a piece of gum. Sometimes you don't even have to buy anything.

Terms are:

3 months free, regular price after that. $10 fee (for not subscribing to their cable) is waived for 1 year. After that, it also applies.

No contract.

I'm assuming this doesn't apply to current users of Rogers.

Well, I was just looking at a stack of rogers boxes stacked at FutureShop when one of the FS guys came up and said that it was free if I wanted it. So the easy way is to pick up the box and go to the counter. I didnt buy anything else.

As far as I know, this applies to new Rogers Internet connections only.

for Sympatico, the same deal, 3 month without any charge. I got my 3 month free Sympatico last week. all you need to do is to ask the sales rep for this 3 month free deal and they will sign you up. no purchase needed.

DO you know how much would it be after 3 months? Also is this the basic DLS or 3Mbps one?
In roger's deal 10$ fee for not having cable is waived, is there anything waived on Sympatico deal?

Yes, Bell sympatico only. There is no Rogers cable in quebec or maybe its only for a small region. You will never get a deal like that with Videotron.

Thanks.

Last time i checked it was for high speed. No naked DSL. You need a credit card and was not a sympatico customer for the past 90 days.

I went to the local FS in Kanata (Ottawa) last night and two guys told me that it was available only with a computer purchase, not just any purchase so I dropped my Maxell DVD 50-pack. They told me that they used to offer this deal before >:(

I think I might go down to Futureshop later today and pick this up, cancel my current Rogers subscription and get my girlfriend to sign up for the free three months of service. I've actually been very pleased with my extreme Rogers this year. Lansdowne/St. Clair area. Last year my Rogers sucked(Dufferin/College), so it must be the location :)

Thanks for the deal

This is what was offered to me a few weeks ago when i went to Future Shop in North York (Empress Walk) to combine my gift cards. 3 months free for new subscribers, no contract, no purchases necessary. Same with Bell Sympatico also. They said it's been running for a few months already.

You may have to sign up with diff. name for cable too. If you already have the cable account and internet on the same account, it may be difficult to sell that your gf wants diff. internet while both share same cable.
It all depends on CSR

What if I have rogers internet for my main computer, under my moms name... and I wanted to get 3 months free service under my name for my computer in my room?

Will that work even if its same address? If not, what if I was actually renting a room in the house and wanted my own internet connection?? Is is possible to have 2 rogers internet connections (2 modems) under 1 roof?

Still new to this, excuse my ignorance if it doesnt make sense at all...

On my reciept it says I will be charged $10 for non cable sub fee? Anyone else have that on their reciept? So it the $10 really waived? Also can you do self install or do you have to book somone? Thx.

Yes I had same thing on my receipt. They never mentioned $10 on signup. Even got my first bill for $230(installation which was taken off) no $10 showed there either. I guess they just want to signup as many customers as they can.

I picked up this deal from FS about a month ago (No purchase was necessary). Anyways, since I was already a DSL user I phoned up Bell Sympatico and told them that I wish to cancel because of this deal. Well lo and behold they matched the deal and gave me the next 3 months of DSL free even though I was already a customer. I had to fax in the receipt (of $0.00) that FS gave to me and that was about it. So if you are an existing Sympatico customer and wish to get three months free, this is a very easy way to do it.

So from what I understand this is just for the Rogers express service, right. Has anyone had this work with the Rogers Extreme service? From one posters prior report it was only Express, and not Extreme. Am I correct on this?

They had a similar promtion for Bell high speed. I signed up for 3 months and just cancelled today (rogers is wayyy faster for me). Keep in mind that they now change the cancellation to 30 days instead of immediately so there could be 1 month charge for their service. This may also apply with rogers.
