RadioShack is back in Canada

Was at Dixie Outlet mall today and saw a new RadioShack store (they also have the old RadioShack store in the mall, now named The Source). Interesting to see how long they survive.

The store is very flashy, full of RadioShack brand name crapola, but very little anything else.

I was never a big fan of the RadioShack branded crap. I hope they have more in store, or else I doubt that their comeback would last very long.

Nah, it is Radioshack corporate. They had a big court battle with Circuit City in the US and Radio Shack won the rights to use their name again in Canada. Radioshack of Canada was licensed with the ability to use the name, but they didn't have the rights to sell the name, so all they sold was the operation... Now the real Radio Shack is back in town to setup a new operation with their name again.
