I've been trying to call both of these places for days but keep on getting a busy signal. Sometimes, I'd get no answer at all with Steelcase Tires. Are they just busy or are they out of business? Thanks.

I would imagine that both are pretty busy right now... with long lineups and waits...
Even when I called Steelcase to price tires a while back they were pretty slow to answer.
You can always try other retailers, I got a set of tires from Tires23.com and they were very pleasant to deal with.

Well, I work at Tire depot. Just so you know, the phones are turned off. Basically because we are too busy to answer the phones anywayz. And when they are on, we have to put the customers on hold forever, which in turn, makes them grumpy/upset/etc. So, the easiest thing to do is just turn them off. The easiest way to reach us is to come in person.

Green Bay Tires is constantly busy as well with their six bays but they always have time to answer the phone. Luckily, their price is not too far off.
Even a recorded message is better than a constant busy tone. I tried calling T.D. and S.C both for weeks now too.

Everywhere is sold out of the Vikings, what are you going to give me if I tell you?
Kidding you man. I got them from Tires Unlimited in Scarborough. Give them a call and see if they have anymore 416-332-8662. Funny thing was I saw another guy getting the vikings installed while I was there too. We were both laughing.
Tried out the tires last night, couldn't skid out. So far so good. :D

The best price in the city was Tires123. For the exact same configuration I was quoted for $535 all-inclusive, too bad they don't have anymore stock.
I had to haggle a bit to get better pricing from Tires unlimited, but he's a real nice guy and scarborough is a lot closer for me. Just say you got refered from the guy with a white prelude, i'm sure he'll hook you up with the same deal.

Most tire places are busy as hell I went to Steele Case last week and they were mad busy to fix my rim leak... they had a huge lineup of people at about 10 am last Monday.
I went to Automotive Import Market Instead to get it fixed... no lineup but had to drop off the car and pickup later in afternoon.

I ended up getting Viking Snowtech from Wheel Direct. They were the only one which has it, and it was the last set as well. I just drove back home on those tires, so far I havent noticed much difference from my stock tires (Firestone), except its tiny bit noisier. Will update how good they are on wet and snow road.

Can anybody tell me what the PSI should be on snow tires?
I used my finger and pressed on Viking tires, they seem to be pretty soft, so not sure if the air pressure is correct.

Check your owners manual or door jamb for the proper PSI.
When I got my Vikings the PSI was set at 30 (proper pressure), which is too soft for my liking. So I put it up to 34 and they handle just like my A/S tires.

i bought the nokian winter tires (get these if you want to own the road in the winter) from them they are really hard to get a hold of, cause its winter and their tires are decently priced.

Hey Webhead, thanks for the reply. Yeah I know the PSI for the stock tire is located on the door jamb. I am just not sure if it would be the same for winter tire.
I called both Tires 23 and Wheel Direct, they recommend 32-33PSI.
