Ottawa Subway's drop the stamps

Well i was at a subway last night in kanata and they said the stamps program is done.A new promo will start in the spring.

I went to TO in May this year and they didn't have the promotion. When I came back to Ottawa, they still had it. Some managers think it's good for business, others think it's bad... like blockbuster and the "no late fees", I think...

The OP did say Ottawa. Here, the stamps are still being used. Them discontinuing it is news.

I was at an Ottawa Subway only a week or two ago and still received stamps for buying a sub. Are you sure it's all Ottawa Subways or just the location you visited?

all subway tickets are being phased out. many new opening locations do not offer tickets or only accept tickets purchased from that location (they look at the numbers at the bottem). all tickets purchased on ebay have been blacklisted, ppl stole them by the roll (5000) and were profiting from it.

i used to go to subway a lot. i find these kinds of programs really do make you want to go back but now its gone where i live. what sucks is i still have like 8 cards full of stamps i have not used...

One of the managers at a local subway here in Ottawa told me they will be moving to a credit card (like air miles). They will just swipe the card and that is how you collect points.

yup, stamp is gone. Someone I know who owns a subway had to purchase new POS computer in order for it to work with new credit-card style point system (he wasn't too happy about that.....).
