I had an interview on Dec 30th , at the end of the interview the manager handed me his card and said he would be making his decision on Sunday . He said he will be in the office on Sunday and to call him or he will call me .
I called and left him a voicemail this afternoon, its now 9pm and I havent heard anything , the not knowing is killing me ... should I call tommorow to see if I got the job or just forget it , since I didnt hear back from him today and assume that I didnt get the job

call him. Or wait for one more day and call him. The best thing would be to call on 4th. May be he is in new year mood..

defintely call/email.
I got my current job because I followed up. No reply for over 1 week after interview, I wrote a polite email to the interviewer asking for a status update. Couple of hours later got an email back from the interviewer - "check your email.", right after that I got an email from their HR dept.

Call him ASAP! If he doesn't answer, leave another voicemail, then call back again in a few hours.
Repeat process until you get an answer.

It could be a way for the interviewer to see if you're really interested in the job. Employers want employees to be excited about their potential new job. What you have done is very good. They like that you are anxious enough to leave a message on his voicemail. Besides, I am sure the guy is just testing you and really isn't coming in on Sunday. It looks like a setup, a business card, voice mailbox, coming to work on Sunday after New Years (please...). He just wants to make sure that you really want the job.
By the way, DEFINATELY call back tommorrow morning. The job is yours to lose.

Maybe he got drunk yesterday and has a major hang-over.

Find out the next day he works, head to his place of business, and hide either in a bush or under his car for the whole time until his shift is over (bring a lunch and pee bottle...) when he approaches his car to go home=
*BAM!!! crawl out from the bushes/his car making a lot of noises and show him very aggressive eye contact (to show him that you are a very confident person...) and never blink or let go of that stare*...
Make sure you also put mud on your face a bit, just to prove that you are willing to get down and dirty to make his company succeed...
Remember the constant aggressive eye contact and facial features!!! :)

Not knowing sucks
but knowing that you didn't get picked also sucks (although I prefer this than not knowing)
During my interview time, I have had couple interviews where I thought I had a shot, and anxiously awaits something from the company
NOTHING, NOTHING, or excuses (like partner is out of country, can't make decision, etc....). When I follow up, another excuse, I wait, follow up again, sorry the position has been filled, blah blah..
I would much prefer them telling me straight

And when you kick him, tell him it was Chuck Norris. And than run away.

there were over 100 applicants and 8 people got an interview and 4 probably made the cut and I was not the chosen candidate. I cant understand why he told me to call him back on Sunday when he reaches his decision
