Do you have any Audi car?

I had a 2001 A4 until I sold it a few months ago. I'm actually interested in the A3, but not until it's available with AWD.

It is now. But it's the 3.2L S-Line with DSG, so it's $$$.
I want 2.0T Quattro with 6-speed.

back on topic...
I think I'll go try one with DSG and see what this GC is about. I drove basic 2.0T when they came out.

If you don't need better screen resolution for pictures or bluetooth than it's perfect, IMO.

Wow - no kidding! Starting at $45k?!?! Even for an Audi, that's excessive. I'm not sure the market is there in Canada (or even the US for that matter) for this kind of car at that price. I wonder what the 2.0T quattro will go for...

Honestly, if I could afford an S4, Id buy it in a blink. Twin turbo, 340hp, awd, nice and luxurious, barely loses to an M3. Hot stuff. I'd get the 25quattro Special Edition.

http://www.audiusa.com/CMA/postsummary/images/img_ps_3806_S4_25_400x300.jpg

If that fails, I'll stick with my affordable 300hp WRX STi that is like $20,000 cheaper.

In any case, Im now gonna go test drive the heck our of that A3 and see if I can make the salesperson pee his pants.

If you go to the dealer and only really want the GC and have no intent to buy a car, tell the sales rep/manager and if you're lucky (depends on how you look at it) they may give you the GC and skip the test drive - those guys really don't want to waste their time.

Did this before at a Nissan promo and the guy just stamped the thingy I had and I got a free thermos.

The S4 is not a twin turbo; you are thinking of the previous gen S4. This one is a normally aspirated V8. Still hot stuff though! :cheesygri

I have a 2004 A4 1.8t and I love it. I test drove the A3 during my last servicing and that car is a beast. Its such a fun car to drive especially with the tip tronic on the steering wheel.
I've emailed the sales guy that I bought my car with about the GC, we'll see if he can hook me up with one if its in CANADA.

53k (b4 taxes too) for a fully loaded A3 3.2 DSG actually sounds about right... if you don't believe it, price it yourself on the Audi website...

the A3 is certainly not cheap when it's fully loaded

Ok.. so i contacted my dealer and he said that he would try to help me.
Now he's asking me for an email address of where I received the email from... so I told him a friend sent it to me.....
he replied:

They check the email address to verify
Thats why I need it.

So now what do I do? I could:
1) create an account on the audi site.. but I still may not receive that offer...
2) use someone's email address that HAS received the email
3) any ideas??

53k before taxes ? OMG... you got to be joking... what a waste... there are so many better deals out there...

The STI is such a better deal, it spanks M3s stock, and spend $2k and it'll do 12s all day long...

I know, I've got a 375hp STI engine...

That's one way of looking at it and you are right, but they are for two entirely different markets. A kid flipping burgers at McDs can save up and buy an sti. The A3 is more for someone who has 50k sitting in his account and a more discerning buyer who wants technology, refinment, and luxury and doesn't say OMG it's 55k.

I took one for a test drive as well and the DSG is amazing. It was a blast to drive and if you ignore the price I would take the A3 3.2 DSG any day over the sti. I would look at it in 3-4 years and get one off lease with a low mileage for 25-30K which is very reasonable.

Oh, and to stay on topic, I had the same experience as the poster above. They wanted a print out of the complete mail including the header with the palmstore in the form field.

On the other hand, an A3 2.0 with DSG can be had
for less than $35k before tax.

If you ever wonder what DSG is, they do a pretty good job here.
