THAT ISN'T LABELLED COUGAR! My friends and I just want to go out, have a few drinks, dance to some retro tunes. That's it. Not hit on young boys, take our tops off and dance on tables, have nasty old men hit on us, or hang out with teenagers so we look like their mothers. Looking for one on preferably a Friday nite in the GTA. I can't believe how hard it is to find a decent place once you're in your thirties...Is there such a place? And what is with this cougar crap anyway? Just by virtue of age you become one regardless of your appearance or sexual conduct in public? My hairdresser says yes..OMG the next young man to see me naked will most likely be a paramedic  I'm not uptight, but there's this smarmy undertone that when you're out, you are on the prowl instead of just chilling with your friends.

On the Curve in Mississauga.
The crowd is 25+ with a live band. The dance floor is a little small however.

Any airport bar will do. Be sure to bring leopard skin blouse, pack of cigarettes, and bright red lipstick. Blue eyeshadow, and the bitter look of desperation optional.

went to dinner at Brix (Hwy7 and leslie) last week...crowds were like 30s. I'd recommend it, but it's not my scene.

Alley Catz on Yonge/Eglinton.
I am in my late 20s and last time I went there on Friday (probably 1.5 months ago), the crowd was my age or a little older. No cougars, just a chill crowd, there is live music and tables/chairs to drink and lounge.
Maybe just call the club in case to see what is happening the night you want to go.
Have fun !

My Apartment used to have an "older" crowd (not all teens/students). I also recall Indian Motorcycle club being a very upscale sophisticated place.
Just an FYI about the whole "cougar" label. ANY club that is "happening" and has a "mature" crowd will get the "cougar" label!
Why?
Simple. It's a "happening" club with lots of older women in it!! Many of those women ARE cougars (which is part of what makes the club "happening").
Just go to the good clubs with the mature crowd and have fun. Hang with your girls and have a good time. If any guys hit on you, enjoy the attention and politely tell them you are a lesbian and despise men... ;) That should get rid of them.... (well... maybe not... )

Yup, confirmed.
How about Easy and the Fifth, Bovine Sex Club, or The Courthouse Chamber Lounge?
Check out club listings (http://www.clubcrawlers.com/listings-search.php) You can do a search by day, type of music and view the ~ age group of the club patrons.
A friend of mine has this 'Fcuk you, leave me alone' face when someone trys to approach/pick her up. Very effective, and she can dance the night away uninterrupted.

it's pretty swank and a more mature audience. i believe friday night is also retro night so that should fit the bill nicely.

"Well as per my last email, I have kept my word. I have found a den!!! I am not sure about other nights, but I was there on a Thursday and the cougars were a plenty. I did not get picked up, but I talked to many mature babies! I would say they range anywhere from mid thirties in to early forties. There were some in packs and some single and some with their husbands or boyfriends. Thursday night there is a disco night and there is a dress code. All the ones I talked to were very friendly and not to mention dressed to tantalize. I will keep you posted on any new places."
